Don’t get left behind!

We are less than 2 weeks from the 2010 New Balance Reach The Beach Relay!

This will be the last communication before the event. If you have any questions between now and September 14th, we will do our best to respond but be patient as we are busy with final preparations. After then, you’ll have to come seek us out at Cannon Mountain Ski area.

Performance Seminar: ***Special Update***

Based on your feedback we have changed the time of the seminar to make it easier to attend (and afford!). The seminar will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 pm and the cost will be $20.

Plan to come up and attend all or part of this event then grab some dinner, a beer, and catch some live music as well. Click here for more details and to sign-up. You will also be able to sign up on the day of the seminar beginning at 3:30pm but we would really appreciate it if you could sign up in advance.

Pre-Race Dinner:

Don’t go hungry! Pre-race dinner may be purchased on-line on or before September 9th for $20. The cost is $25 when purchased at Cannon Mountain.

New Balance:

  • Tent Village:

Get some well deserved recovery time in the house that New Balance built. At TA 24, better known as Bear Brook State Park, tuckered teammates can check into one of 60 tents for the night. Tents have room for two to three people and are free to relay participants who can show an NB logo on footwear, apparel, or accessories to the ‘front desk clerk’. Space is first come, first served, however, so run fast and enjoy some quality shuteye.

  • Scavenger Game:

For an added challenge during the event, seek out New Balance Team vehicles and collect letter shaped bracelets along the way.

Collect all ten to spell N-E-W B-A-L-A-N-C-E before you reach the finish line for some great team prizes. For full details, stay tuned and be sure to stop by the New Balance tent at the start area on Friday.

Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs will be donating the eggs to the volunteer fire departments that will be providing breakfast at T24 (Allenstown Volunteer Fire: Bear Brook State Park) and at T26 (Candia Volunteer Fire: Henry Moore School). So be sure to stop in and grab some breakfast from one of our supporting groups.

Wendle’s Delicatessen and Cafè

Located at 297 Main Street, Franconia, NH (603-823-5141) will be fueling up the RTB staff on Friday. They’ll be open super early on Friday (5:30am) so that you can grab either breakfast or a sandwich to go. Plus, they will have a tent at TA6 in case your team wants to grab something there instead. Either way - you won’t be disappointed with their food.

Pro Ex Physical Therapy:

ProEx stands for PRO EXperience and PRO Excellence

A positive physical therapy experience starts with our commitment to clinical excellence and service excellence. Our core value is to be “People Focused”. Come meet us at the finish expo at Hampton Beach!

Start Times/Registration

Our goal is to have all of the start times published on or before September 5th. However, this depends in large part on your team’s roster being complete. Start times will be assigned only when…

  • Full teams have 8 or more registered runners or
  • Ultra teams have 4 or more registered runners.

Also, please note that online registration activity will be shut down on September 10th at 8:00PM EST. After that time, no changes to your team’s rosters will be available through the website. Any changes after this time will have to be made in person at the Registration area at Cannon Mountain on either Thursday September 16th or Friday September 17th.
Registration late fees begin September 1.

Important New Safety Requirement

To increase the safety of the New Balance RTB Relay, we are requiring all participants to wear a reflective vest when they are outside of their van supporting their runner at night. This means you will need to have a minimum of 2 additional reflective vests with you at Safety Check (for a total of 4). While these two vests do not have the ‘active’ (flashing) requirement of that required for the runner, this vest must be reflective. Please see the handbook for more details. We have them in-stock on our store now and we will have them for sale at the event for $10.

Something New

“S” stands for ….”Something New” and also for “Spring”.

Keep an eye on your in-box next week for more news about S-RTB!

See you in a few weeks!
