Whats New
Hi Everyone,
We hope you're all having a great winter.

Here at RTB World Wide headquarters, our thoughts are of late summer as we put the pieces in place for this year's New Balance — Reach the Beach Relay and some exciting changes we are planning. A few of which we won't be able to share until the spring!
New Balance Title Sponsor Announcement
First off, we're extremely pleased to announce that the Reach the Beach Relay and the folks at New Balance have agreed to a deal; making the Boston-based footwear and apparel manufacturer the title sponsor for RTB starting this year!

Our relationship with New Balance has grown steadily over the past few years and we're excited to continue on this path. Those of you who ran last year and checked into the tent village at Bear Brook State Park or tried on the New Balance NP shorts on the last leg into Hampton Beach can appreciate the elevated enthusiasm that NB brings to the event. Please visit www.newbalance.com for information on training and nutrition tips as you prepare for the race, learn about products to help you run at your best, and find a store near you!

We also want to welcome back Coca-Cola Bottlers of Northern New England for their sponsorship. Dasani 10th year of support! They will be providing the event and meals with Dasani-Zero, Fuze, Powerade and Vitamin water. New for 2010 is Runners Alley specialty running stores. Runner's Alley, NH's ONLY Running ONLY Store, with locations in Portsmouth, Manchester, and Nashua, has been serving the state of NH for 13 years. Carrying an excellent selection of footwear, apparel, and accessories. Runners Alleyy are your one stop shop for all your running and fitness needs. Runner's Alley is happy to offer a 10% discount to all Reach the Beach Relay participants. All locations have weekly group runs, be sure to visit them at www.runnersalley.com for all the latest info!
We're on Facebook
We've recently created our own Facebook page and invite you become a fan, post your pictures and videos, and keep up to date with what's going on with the race.
Registration Status
This year's race will be capped at 425 teams. As of today, there are 330 fully registered teams with another 80 teams signed up but not paid. At the current registration pace, we expect to sell out by late March so do not delay in registering your team and sending in your entry fee! Please remember that your team's registration is not guaranteed until we have received your entry fee. We offer a full refund if requested before August 1st.

As of March 1, runner registration is open so individual runners can now sign up for fully registered teams.
NEW: Pre-Race Seminar
We're planning a seminar that will take place during the mid-afternoon on Thursday September 16th. It will feature a combination of running related presentations and workshops that are sure to help you with your training and overall fitness/well being. The details of the presenters along with schedule will appear in our next communication out to you and on our website in the coming weeks. So start making plans with your teammates to come up for mid-afternoon on Thursday the 16th.
Team Lodging
Once again, the race will be competing for lodging with another event called the Highland Games which take place in the Town of Lincoln, NH. This means that many of the lodging partners in Lincoln will not be permitting one night rentals for their properties on Thursday night September 16th. Some of you have already discovered this on your own when attempting to book your team's lodging.

We've renewed agreements with many of our lodging partners from last year and encourage you to contact them sooner rather than later to plan your stay in the White Mountains.

You can find more information on lodging for the event by visiting the Lodging page on our site: http://www.rtbrelay.com/lodging.php
Environmental Partnerships
Reach the Beach Relay runners travel through some of the most beautiful, pristine countryside in New England. And we are committed to ensuring the race leaves the smallest footprint possible on the environment. So again this year we are partnering with Athletes for a Fit Planet to make the race as green as possible.

Thanks to the support of all the teams at last year's race, we recycled an estimated 2.5 tons of materials from start to finish, including 1.3 tons at the Finish alone.
That's all for now!

All of us at RTB Worldwide headquarters!
