Navigation Aids for Reach the Beach
With the advent of and access to numerous GPS devices, it was inevitable that we would offer you the mapping
coordinates that are needed to help you navigate the Reach the Beach Relay route as never before.
We still feel that our course signs make it nearly impossible for anyone to get lost, but there is something to be said about the ability to know exactly where you are in the unlikely event you do make a wrong turn. Plus, those who are in charge of driving Van 1 or Van 2 might also appreciate being able to take a shorter route to the next VTA without following the course. Some of today's cell phones offer GPS navigation technology. So we did some investigating and found one
called "Trails" that works with an iPhone. If you have an iPhone 3G or 4G, you can purchase / download
Trails from the Apple Store by clicking here.
Once you've done that, simply open the attached instruction set and follow the easy steps to load in the map coordinates for any or all of the race route. If you have a Garmin or other GPS device, then you can access the
appropriate coordinates by clicking on the links below.
